✨ December is a busy month for the greenhouse elves, while winter settles in, there’s still plenty to do. All the pots need to be prepared for the new little plants, so everything is ready when spring arrives.
This hardworking elf gets hundreds of pots ready — stacking, lining up, and checking each one carefully. And with just a tiny touch of elf magic, they suddenly stand perfectly prepared, neat and waiting for new life.
It may look simple, but it’s important work — quietly setting the stage for spring, one pot at a time ✨

✨ A very important elf assignment… ✨
Today, this little elf is in charge of making sure every plant box is carefully wrapped and secured. Each layer of protective cover is placed just right, so the plants stay safe and cosy on their long journey across Europe.
He double-checks the corners, smooths the wrapping, and gives each box a gentle pat — “Travel well,” he whispers — knowing the plants will arrive fresh, strong, and beautiful, ready to shine in shops near and far.

✨ Our little elf girl had one simple task✨
Add a touch of gold glitter to the tiny Hatioras.
Easy, right?
Well… let’s just say the Hatioras got a little sparkle —
and she got a lot.
By the time she was done, she was covered from head to toe in gold, blinking proudly through the shimmer like, “Yes, this is exactly how it was supposed to go.”
The plants look lovely…
but she definitely out-glittered them all 🌿🧝♀️

The plan sounded innocent enough: “Those big, beautiful Monsteras could use a bit of Christmas spirit!”
The execution… well, that was a little more questionable.
Armed with a bow, they set to work “decorating” the plants.
It didn’t take long before one of the supervisors had to step in — mostly to save the Monsteras from being completely transformed into full-blown Christmas trees.
The elves just giggled, convinced they’d done something wonderful…
And maybe, just maybe, the Monsteras did end up with a tiny bit of extra holiday charm 🌿🎄

✨ In the early morning darkness long before the office staff arrives, the little office elves begin to stir.
And this tiny she-elf? She has one very important mission: keeping her German markets perfectly in order.
While the coffee machine is still asleep and the computers haven’t woken up yet, she scurries across desks and keyboards, whispering notes to herself and nodding proudly when everything looks just right.
If you show up early enough, you might just her say Guttenmorgen es ist 🤫 auf Hawaii in Dänemark — busy, determined, and already several steps ahead of the day ✨

December 8th.
Today she proudly holds up a soft pink blossom from the tall Begonia Coralina, as if she personally grew it herself.
She beams, showing it off to anyone who passes by, declaring, “Look! Coralina made a new pretty!”
She’s been circling the plant all morning, gently adjusting leaves and giving the flowers little compliments.
If you look closely, you might spot her standing among the big Coralina stems, happily presenting her favourite pink bloom to the world 🌿🧝♀️🌸✨

✨ This little elf is in charge of putting silver glitter on the plants ✨
He takes his job very seriously, shaking his tiny glitter pot with great precision and announcing, “Everything looks better with a bit of sparkle.”
Sometimes he gets a little carried away… a leaf here, a pot there, and occasionally himself.
If you spot a suspicious shimmer in the greenhouse, chances are he’s nearby, spreading festive sparkle one plant at a time 🌿🧝♂️✨

He’s been sweeping up all the tiny “babies” that the Kalanchoe daigremontiana ‘Octopus’ — also known as Mother of a Million — keeps dropping everywhere.
According to him, it’s like working for a plant that never stops having kids.
He gathers the little plantlets into tidy piles, mumbling, “A million is plenty, thanks,” while the mother plant cheerfully produces even more.
If you look closely, you might catch him hustling around the pot, trying his best to keep up with this endlessly productive diva of a plant 🌿✨

✨ A tiny elf has decided to take a well-earned break today. She’s sitting right on top of the pot, legs dangling, while the begonia’s big, bold leaves form a perfect little canopy to shield her from the bright December sun.
She claims it’s “the best seat in the entire greenhouse,” and honestly — with that leafy shade and her smug little grin — she might be right.
If you look closely, you might spot her relaxing there, enjoying her cosy corner and supervising her beloved Crackling Rosie. ✨

A tiny self has been spotted weaving his way through the tall, quirky stems of the Tirucalli, a plant she proudly calls her “stick-forest sanctuary.”
He straightens the branches when they look a bit wild, gives them gentle encouragement.
If you look closely, you might see him tucked between the bright stems, keeping a calm but cheerful eye on her unusual little forest — full of charm, mischief, and December warmth 🌿

A tiny elf has been spotted wandering happily among the Pileas, where she’s quietly taken on the role of “Queen of the Round Leaves.”
She gives the plants a little pep-talk now and then, straightens a pot if it’s crooked, and claims the plants grow better when she hums to them — though no one has proven her wrong yet.
If you look closely, you might catch her peeking out between the leaves, keeping gentle watch over her leafy little kingdom with a mix of charm, mischief, and December cheer 🌿🧝♀️✨

This tiny troublemaker was hiding among the mini Begonia Wings — a perfect little sneaky spot for an elf on the move.
He knows every corner of the place like the inside of his own pocket — and this December he’s back to watch over the mini Begonia Wings once again.
Keep your eyes open… he’s a master at hiding. ✨🎄

December 1st.
Every year, tiny busy Christmas elves appear between the plants.
At first, it’s just small clues… a moved pot, a sprinkle of glitter — and then suddenly you might spot them darting between the begonias and philodendrons.
They tidy, decorate, giggle, and spread Christmas cheer all through December.
So next time you wander through the greenhouse, look closely — you just might catch a glimpse of one of our little helper elves.
I caught a glimpse of the little fellow down in the old section, hiding among the beautiful Begonia maculata.
December magic is officially here… keep your eyes open — more elves are surely on the move. 🎄✨

A big announcement and an important milestone in our journey 🌱✨
Today, we shared a message that brings both joy and a touch of sadness. As of January 1st, 2026, we will be handing over the production and greenhouses of Hawaii Gartneriet to Lundager A/S. It’s a natural and necessary step for the future development for the companies.
Over the many years since the start back 69 years ago. We’ve experienced both “highs” and “lows” within the industry, and we are incredibly proud of everything we have created and achieved together with our loyal customers, partners, and our amazing Hawaii team. Our dedicated staff has always strived to deliver high-quality Hawaii products and the best possible service. The positive momentum and innovation you know Hawaii for we strive to be continued under the Lundager brand.
Thank you for your trust, your support, and all the memorable moments through the years. We look forward to continuing the development of the products you know and love — just under a new name, and with the same passion 💚
Wishing you a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to receiving your orders.
